What to Expect Before your Appointment

Before your appointment, there are a few things to check before you show up. 

To prepare, you will fast for THREE hours before your liver fibrosis test. Only drink clear fluids if needed. It would help if you also chose comfortable clothes for the day of your appointment.

You will receive a text and email with all the information regarding your appointment. In this text and email, you will be sent a link to fill out your paperwork online. Be sure to complete that before.

After a FibroScan, you’ll be back on your feet in minutes with no recovery time or special instructions. The procedure doesn’t take long. The exam itself usually only takes 5-10 minutes. It is not painful, and you won’t need sedation.
